Identity
Normally, metalminds will store an identity, limiting who can fill or drain the power. By storing your identity in a metalmind, other metalminds you create will be unkeyed. You must have no identity to fill an unkeyed metalmind, but anyone with the proper power can tap them.
Identity metalminds can be used regardless of your ferring powers. Tapping identity from a metalmind changes your identity, letting you fill and drain metalminds belonging to your new identity.
Investiture Metalminds
Investiture metalminds store your ferring power, temporarily removing it. Tapping will grant access to the stored power. Like identity, anyone can use investiture metalminds regardless of their power. Only your ferring power can be stored (no power from other sources).
On its own, investiture metalminds are not that useful. But combining with identity allows sharing your power with another player, while unkeyed investiture metalminds are used to create unsealed metalminds.
