It is often found in buried treasure and shipwrecks, the hands of drowned or wither skeletons, and sometimes caught when fishing.

The war pick is a pickaxe crossbow found from mineshafts, pillager posts, vindicators, zombie villagers, and weaponsmiths raid gifts.
